The Peaceable Kingdom
The Peaceable Kingdom refers to a series of paintings by the American artist Edward Hicks in the early to mid 19th century. These works depict a harmonious vision of animals and children coexisting peacefully, inspired by biblical descriptions of a future utopia. Hicks' use of bold colors and detailed compositions made this style famous in the art world.
