Origins

The Multiplane Camera is a visual style that was popularized in the 1930s by Walt Disney Studios. It revolutionized animation by introducing depth and perspective to the scenes. By using multiple layers of glass and moving them at different speeds, it gave the illusion of three-dimensional space. This technique reached its peak in films like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) and Bambi (1942).
