Angelica Kaufmann was a Swiss Neoclassical painter. She was one of the most successful women painters of the 18th century. Active between 1764 and 1807, Kaufmann's style was characterized by its Neoclassical elegance, refined technique, and delicate use of color. Her famous portraits and history paintings, often featuring classical themes, made her renowned throughout Europe.
