Origins

Urban Art originated in the late 1960s and early 1970s within inner cities, particularly New York City. This style is characterized by its connection to the streets and the use of public spaces as a canvas. Graffiti, street art, and muralism are all forms of Urban Art. Urban Art became famous for its bold, vibrant colors, intricate designs, and political or social messages.
