Origins

A minimalist and utilitarian visual style developed by the United Society of Believers in Christ's Second Appearing, known as Shakers, in the 18th and 19th centuries. Emphasizing simplicity, functionality, and craftsmanship, the Shakers utilized clean lines and natural materials in their furniture, architecture, and everyday objects.
