Wolfgang Weingart is a Swiss graphic designer known for pioneering the New Wave typographic style in the 1960s. His experimental approach to typography revolutionized graphic design, blending traditional and modern techniques. Weingart's work became famous in the 1970s when he started teaching at the Basel School of Design and mentored a new generation of designers who carried his ideas forward.
