Akira Yoshizawa was a Japanese origami artist who is considered the father of modern origami. He developed the Yoshizawa–Randlett system of notation and revolutionized the art of origami by creating countless intricate designs and techniques. Yoshizawa's work gained widespread recognition in the 1950s and 1960s, and he played a pivotal role in elevating origami from a traditional craft to an artistic form of expression.
